Center Field
Everyone likes the new rookie every year. The thing is, Luis Robert is different. He has the potential to be one of the best centerfielders in the league. He is a five-tool player that can do it all for the White Sox in 2020 and beyond. They are going to have this guy in the fold for the better part of a decade or more. They didn’t play and games with his contract or service time, they just got him signed to what could be a team-friendly deal and moved on.
The deal he signed shows that he is going to be the Opening Day centerfielder. That was a big risk for the White Sox to give that much money to someone who has never played a single game in the big leagues but if he reaches his full potential, it will be a steal of a contract. He has already been very good in Spring Training which is exciting for fans of this team.
Robert is just as good defensively as he is at the plate which makes him scary. There is a good chance that he is in the race for American League Rookie of the Year in 2020. He might struggle early on but once he figures it out, the American League is in trouble. He might bat low in the lineup at first but once he catches on he will be an impact hitter.
