Chicago White Sox: We want the pinstripe vests back
It is important that the White Sox look good if they are going to play well over the next few years and the pinstripe vests would be great.
The Chicago White Sox have been one of the league’s all-time best-dressed teams. They have beautiful black and white combinations right now and have mixed in red and blue nicely over the years as well. It is a history of great logos including the one that they currently use. Their jerseys always have been awesome and always should continue to be awesome.
One jersey that the fanbase seems to still love despite them not using it for a very long time is the pinstripe vests. They wore them for a lot of the early 2000s. It is very similar to their pinstripe home jerseys except for the fact that they are a vest with black shirts underneath. It was a very clean looking jersey for them.
Their home pinstripes, their gray aways, and their black alternates have had very little chance since 1990 when they went back to black and white full time. The vests were a solid addition to these but they just don’t wear them anymore.
This has been a topic of conversation a lot over the last little while online but friend of the program, Chuck Garfien brought the conversation back up. He let everyone know that he is all in on the team bringing these jerseys back with a tweet.
After some discussion, he put up a poll:
It seems like most of the fanbase wants these vests to come back. It would be a lot of fun to see the team return to these jerseys for a little while. Seeing guys like Yoan Moncada, Tim Anderson, and Eloy Jimenez take part in some games where they get to wear these beauties would be insane.
It might be a long time before they make a move like this as we don’t even know if baseball will be played this year but it would be fun to see sometime in the near future. If the White Sox were to bring these back as an alternate to go with the all-black jerseys, a lot of fans would love it.
