The Chicago White Sox need to start winning again before its too late.

The Chicago White Sox lost again on Monday night. It was an annoying loss to the Detroit Tigers who are supposed to be much worst than them on paper but they simply played better. The White Sox got everything they deserved last night and it led to their third straight loss. They went from winning six in a row to losing three straight and now they are back to being under .500. They have a long way to go before they can say they are ready to be a World Series contender and this stretch has proved it.

Dallas Keuchel was the guy on the mound in this one. He didn’t have the best game of his career but the offense is really in a lul right now. They need to get out of this funk because we always knew that the offense would be what carries this team. They haven’t been hitting at all and they can’t expect to win without it.

This isn’t a true sign that the season is looking bleak but they need to get it turned around quickly if they want to have a chance at the postseason. There are eight teams going to the playoffs this year and if they can’t be in the top eight, that is a bad look. If they start hitting and can get the pitching they need, they should be able to climb out of this.

The good news is that in baseball, you always have a chance the next day. Gio Gonzalez is going to go against Tyler Alexander of the Tigers in the second game of the series. It is a pitching matchup that is intriguing but it is clear that the White Sox offense is going to be the key in this game. If they hit the ball well, they will have a chance to win and if they don’t hit well the pitching might not be able to lead the way. This is their chance to get the series tied.
