The Chicago White Sox won again after hitting a few more big home runs.

The Chicago White Sox got their second big win in a row on Monday night to improve their record to 12-11. It was a much-needed win against a reeling Detroit Tigers team that the White Sox absolutely need to beat. They now have three more against them and the next two are against guys making their MLB debuts on the mound. This is a big opportunity for the White Sox to try and get well over .500 before they go play the Chicago Cubs.

The home run ball really was the key to winning this game for the White Sox. In fact, Tim Anderson led off the game with a solo shot to give the White Sox a 1-0 before a single out was even recorded. It didn’t end there as Yoan Moncada came up and made it back to back and a 2-0 White Sox lead. One day after going back to back to back to back, they just had to settle for back to back.

Well, the didn’t have to settle for those two home runs in general, however. Tim Anderson hit another one for his second of the game, Danny Mendick hit one, and Luis Robert hit two of his own. It was a great offensive explosion for the White Sox in a 7-2 route of the Tigers. Gio Gonzalez was good enough on the mound, the bullpen was excellent, and the offense exploded to get the job done.

You don’t always want to rely on five solo shots and a two-run home run to win your games but it is entertaining to watch when it does happen. This was what was needed in this one and that is all that matters. A big White Sox victory for their second in a row and three more against the Tigers is a great way to cap off a Monday.

Hot. Big week for the Tigers against the White Sox. light

Tonight’s game should be a thriller for fans of both clubs, at least at the start. The White Sox are going to be looking to win their third in a row and really begin a winning streak while the Tigers are going to be starting one of their top pitching prospects. Tarik Skubal is going to be on the mound. He is their number five prospect and number 50 in all of baseball. It should be fun to watch him work against an incredibly dangerous White Sox lineup. Hopefully, they can bring some of the home run magic back again.
