Luis Robert has led the Chicago White Sox to yet another win.

The Chicago White Sox wake up on this fine September morning in first-place of the American League Central Division. The Cleveland Indians lost to the Kansas City Royals and the White Sox defeated the Minnesota Twins to make sure that they are all along in first place of the division. They didn’t earn their win with much ease but they got it done nonetheless. The Twins are a good ball club so it is no surprise that it was a tough win to earn for the Sox.

Lucas Giolito had an up and down game. He really had good stuff but a few errors made defensively in the second inning allowed the Twins to go up 3-0 in the game. They added a fourth run later on and made it a 4-0 game early. Giolito wasn’t as good as he was in say, his no-hitter that he threw last week, but he still was good enough to give this offense a chance to win.

The White Sox clawed all the way back to get the game tied at four before the Twins got another one to make it 5-4. Then, Luis Robert started to do what he does best and that is hit tanks. He tied the game at five when he hit a ball to pluto. The 449 foot home run got the White Sox and Twins even and it would stay that way until the 9th inning.

The Twins gave the White Sox a free opportunity when Max Kepler dropped a routine fly ball to right field hit by Edwin Encarnacion. They pinch ran Encarnacion for Yolmer Sanchez and he scored from second on a hit by Robert who came up clutch yet again. Robert’s two hits and two RBIs came at the perfect time because they ended up being the tying and winning RBIs to earn the White Sox a huge win.

Hot. Last week was the craziest week in 2020 White Sox season. light

Robert is a huge part of this team as he has been so dominant as a rookie. The problem for the rest of Major League Baseball is that he isn’t even close to as good as he is going to become as he develops even further. There is a good chance that there is a point in his career where he is one of the three (or better) very best players in Major League Baseball. He needs to stay hot to help this team finally get back into the playoffs. Another big game against the Twins looms tonight with Dallas Keuchel on the mound. This is all so much fun.
