The Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Bears are both hoping to have big seasons this year.
Over the social media era of sports, the Chicago Sports teams really love to show passion and pride in their cities. That includes cheering on one another. The Chicago White Sox are no different. The Chicago Bears were ready to take on the Detroit Lions early on the same day that the White Sox were looking to complete the sweep of the Detroit Tigers. A Chicago winning day over Detroit will always feel nice for sports fans in this city.
Well, the Chicago Bears being wished well by the White Sox social media account was fun but an individual player went above and beyond to show his support. Yoan Moncada wore a Mitchell Trubisky jersey into the stadium ahead of the game today and it was awesome to see. A lot of people have mixed emotions about Mitch as a quarterback but it was fun to see Moncada showing support for a fellow number ten.
This was such a cool sight to see. There are multiple sports back in our lives after a pretty ugly year but things are starting to feel good again at times. We still have a long way to go but showing some unity in the city is a step in the right direction.
Both the Bears and White Sox earned wins over Detroit today which is fantastic news. It was a victory in comeback fashion for the Bears and the White Sox won to complete a sweep. Now, the Bears have a long way to go before we start talking playoffs but the White Sox magic number is down to six. There is a good chance that they have clinched a playoff berth by the start of the next Bears game. It was a great day to be a fan of Chicago sports because both teams won and could finish off good years if their respective number tens continue to each do well.
