Chicago White Sox: Three potential replacements for Rick Renteria

The Chicago White Sox are now looking for a new manager after firing Rick Renteria.

Monday morning was a strange time for fans of the Chicago White Sox. They are now a team that is able to act on it when they have a problem. Well, the problem for the final week of the season was improper pitching decisions and pretty ugly lineup selection. That is going to fall at the hands of the manager so the organization decided to part ways with Rick Renteria. There are a lot of things to say about that but for now, it is about finding his replacement.

One guy that we know for a fact isn’t going to be the replacement is Ozzie Guillen. Rick Hahn said in his postseason press conference that he wasn’t going to talk about any potential candidates or what he would like to see from them. The only exception to that for him was announcing that Ozzie will not be the guy and that he has been notified about that decision.

Going forward, it is about the White Sox putting their best foot forward. They need to get out there and do a thorough search for the next guy. Can he construct a good lineup that gives them the best chance to win? Does he handle pitching properly? Is he a good leader of younger players? These are some of the most important characteristics that they should be looking for.

As in any other offseason, there are some pretty good candidates. There are some form the outside and even a few from within which is always nice. It is an attractive job for many reasons so hopefully, they can take advantage of it. These are the three best management options for 2021:
