The Chicago White Sox manager search might end soon now that the World Series is over.

The Los Angeles Dodgers finally were able to capture that World Series title they have been so close to getting over the past few years. They defeated the Tampa Bay Rays in six games to end the 2020 season. The Chicago White Sox might now, as a result, be able to end their search for a manager sooner than later. There are a few guys in particular that they might be able to hire but the World Series needed to end for it to happen.

Of course, one of the two we are talking here about is AJ Hinch. Hinch was fired by the Houston Astros after Major League Baseball suspended him for a year for his involvement in the cheating scandal. He wasn’t the mastermind of the ordeal but the league determined that he didn’t do enough to put a stop to the cheating. As a result, Houston won the World Series in 2017.

Alex Cora was also fired as the Boston Red Sox manager for the same year suspension for his involvement in the exact same scandal. He was the Houston bench coach at the time of the scandal. Both of these guys are going to get a second chance in 2021 and beyond. Both of them will probably be successful in their second chances as well because they are both great baseball managers.

Their suspensions are up upon the end of the World Series. If the White Sox and either of them had mutual interest, you would think they would try to get it done as soon as the World Series ended which has now happened. Both of them would fit exactly what the White Sox are trying to do now so they would each make great hires.

Hot. Both White Sox catchers are gold glove caliber. light

Even if they went in a different direction from these two, you would think that they don’t want to wait to get their guy. Of all the teams with manager vacancies, they have the best roster so you would think they have their pick of the litter. Now that the World Series is over, don’t expect the announcement to take too long.
