61. . SP. Cincinnati Reds. Trevor Bauer. 27. player

Trevor Bauer is the top free agent on the entire market of Major League Baseball free agents. He is one of the best starting pitchers in all of baseball right now. He was really good with the Cleveland Indians before a trade across the state of Ohio to the Reds but now he might be on his way out. He is going to sign a big-money contract with some team but we don’t know how many years will be on the deal. He has been saying he only wants one-year deals but it is hard to see him doing that after his amazing 2020 season.

Right now, Bauer is in the best position a free agent starter can be in. He won the Cy Young with a 1.73 ERA and 0.795. He had 100 strikeouts to only 17 walks. He was a 2.7 WAR player in 11 starts to really help the Reds make their way to the playoffs. He put that team on his back every time he was on the mound.

If the White Sox added a pitcher like him, they would have the best rotation in all of baseball. They are close to having that now but adding Bauer would put them over the edge. He is one of the few pitchers that you could insert onto this team right now and put them ahead of Lucas Giolito. It is unlikely that the White Sox go for Bauer at this point but if it were a one or two-year deal, they should absolutely consider it.
