Chicago White Sox: Three bold predictions for 2021
Prediction Three: The Chicago White Sox will win the American League pennant.
The Chicago White Sox are a scary good team. They are the best men’s professional sports team in Chicago for the first time in a very long time. The Bears are a fringe playoff team, the Cubs and Blackhawks are taking major steps back, and the Bulls are in the middle of an intense rebuild. The White Sox are legit contenders for the World Series going into 2021.
To start, they have to be the favorites to win the American League Central. The Twins and Indians keep taking steps back and the Tigers and Royals are a few years away. This is the time for the White Sox to strike and win the division for the first time since 2008. Just making the playoffs shouldn’t be the goal, however, it should be to win the division and then make a run.
Winning the American League is a hefty goal but it should be their goal. All bets are off when you make it to the World Series and play a team like the San Diego Padres or Los Angeles Dodgers. Those teams are elite but the White Sox should be able to play with anyone. We will start with a “winning the American League ” prediction first before anything else.

If they are able to do that in 2021, it would be a fantastic year. Maybe, if they are able to do that, a World Series title could be the cherry on top. All of these predictions might be a stretch but they are certainly possible if the White Sox do the right things to make them happen.
