The Boston Red Sox have some free agents for the Chicago White Sox to consider.
The Chicago White Sox got their entire rebuild started with a trade with the Boston Red Sox. Every White Sox fan will remember the day of December 6th, 2016 when they sent Chris Sale to Boston in exchange for Yoan Moncada, Michael Kopech, and two other prospects. That changed everything about the White Sox for good. Now, that vision that Rick Hahn had that day is now coming to life. They have turned the corner and are looking to win the World Series.
Of course, the Red Sox have won the World Series themselves since the trade. In 2018, they were the best team in the league from Opening Day until they were celebrating as Champions in October. Chris Sale was a big part of it so the trade clearly worked for them too. It was also the fourth time that they won it all since winning it for the first time in almost a century in 2004.
The White Sox would love to start having the big-time success that the Red Sox have had this century. It starts with having a lot of young talent. The Red Sox did it well and now the White Sox are doing the same. Well, the White Sox could use a few more veterans at this point as well.
If they want to win the World Series sometime soon, there are probably a few more players they can add to help with that cause but they also need to make sure they don’t handcuff themselves for the future. If they wanted to snag one of these Red Sox free agents in the short term, they might not regret it:
