Jackie Bradley Jr. would make a great depth outfielder on the 2021 Chicago White Sox.

Jackie Bradley Jr. has mostly been a centerfielder in his MLB career. He is a free agent now after several great years with the Boston Red Sox. He isn’t the greatest hitter in the world but the White Sox would be smart to add him for his Gold Glove level defense. They have Luis Robert as well who is a Gold Glove-winning centerfielder as well in just one year so Bradley would most likely need to play either left or right but it is an option. If he was willing to do that, it would be a great addition.

Bradley is someone that you can add to a roster for leadership as well. He knows how to perform in the playoffs as he has been an ALCS MVP and of course a World Series champion. That type of experience isn’t found easily and the White Sox could use a little more of it. Adding a guy like Bradley on a one year deal might help him and the team in the long term.

He would be a better defensive outfielder than both Eloy Jimenez and Adam Eaton if he was willing to play one of those positions instead of centerfield. He would also be a very nice fourth outfielder to have on days off or in the case of injury. He is a great player that deserves a chance with a good baseball team.
