Liam Hendriks really liked the way Chicago White Sox fans reacted during his signing process.

Ladies and gentleman, we got him! Today the news that Liam Hendriks was signing with the Chicago White Sox became official. The White Sox might not have been able to get to this point without their loyal fan base. Jesse Rogers of ESPN said that White Sox fans had an impact on the process. According to Rodgers, White Sox fans were as positive as anyone and that made a difference for Hendriks. I’m sure the money Rick Hahn offered did not hurt either.

Fans have plenty to be positive about. The White Sox have accumulated four pitchers who finished in the top ten for the AL Cy Young. They also have put together the next murders row.  A lineup that includes, Jose Abreu (AL MVP), Tim Anderson (2019 Batting Champion), Eloy Jimenez (2020 Silver Slugger Award), Luis Robert (2nd in Rookie of the year voting), Yasmani Grandal (2nd in MLB Networks Top 10 catchers), Nick Madrigal (does not strike out), Adam Eaton, and Yoan Moncada. That is a roster good enough to go toe to toe with anyone in the American League.

White Sox Twitter is not always the most positive of places. It speaks volumes to how good a player Hendriks is that White Sox fans were all united in recruiting him. Now, White Sox fans should turn their attention to Trevor Bauer. Fans have been buttering up Bauer for months now and Bauer has not been shy about interacting with them.

He even took notice of the Hendriks move tweeting that the White Sox only need two more infinity stones. This is a reference to The Avengers and the six stones of the infinity gauntlet which process infinite power. White Sox fans would love to add Bauer to the gauntlet. It would make winning inevitable.

Hot. Andrew Benintendi makes a lot of sense for the Chicago White Sox. light

Unfortunately, Bauer has been interacting with plenty of fan bases that want his services. As the offseason slowly rolls along, White Sox fans can sleep well at night knowing they played a part in bringing the best relief pitcher in baseball to Chicago.
