The Chicago White Sox made one of the biggest trades that the MLB has seen this offseason. The Sox sent Dane Dunning and Avery Weems to the Texas Rangers in exchange for Lance Lynn. For the past few years, Lynn has been one of the best pitchers in the American League. In 2020, he came in sixth place for the American League Cy Young Award. It was a great year for him and the White Sox are hoping that he can recreate that in 2021 for them.

Lance Lynn is going to be a perfect player for the Chicago White Sox in 2021.

Lance Lynn went on Red Line Radio, a podcast that belongs to Barstool Sports. Every question that Lynn was asked was just exactly what any White Sox fan would want to hear. He talks about how he perceived Chicago as a city before being a player here, what he thinks about the current roster, competition with the rest of the rotation, and how he feels about his game going forward.

One thing that stood out, was Lynn’s response when he was asked if he thinks he is underrated. He told them that he thought he might have been underrated when he was younger but now he feels more “disrespected”. That is a brilliant answer for a member of the Chicago White Sox. This team feeds off of being disrespected and has for a long time. If Lynn brings that attitude to this team, he will be the perfect addition.

It is fair to think that if you are Lynn. His Major League production after almost a decade of work is incredible and not many people know about him. Now that he is on a contending White Sox team, he is going to be recognized the way he deserves to be. He is the type of pitcher that delivers quality starts with consistency and wants the world to know how good he is. He also wants the ball in the biggest moments which tells you a lot about his competition level.

Lynn made a few comments about Tim Anderson as well. He sounds like he is impressed with where Anderson has come so far in his career and is pretty happy that he doesn’t have to face him anymore. Most pitchers that come to the Chicago White Sox should probably feel that way because he is one of the best hitters in the world.

Hot. What is happening with the White Sox and Nelson Cruz?. light

Hopefully, Lance Lynn can experience something with the White Sox that he experienced with the Cardinals almost a decade ago which is winning a World Series on a Tony La Russa managed team. This guy is perfect for this team and the attitude that they need to have in 2021 and beyond.
