The Chicago White Sox have made it. There are a few bad injuries that came out of it but they are going into the final spring training game with World Series expectations. It feels like this spring has gone by so fast but we learned so much about this team and their talent level. They are very deep in all areas and should be one of the best teams in the league. This last game will be the final look before things are for real.
The Chicago White Sox have made it to their final game of the exhibition season.
The Chicago White Sox started spring training with a record of 1-8. Records don’t matter in the slightest during the exhibition season but them going into the final game with a record of 12-11 shows that some things started to come together. There is a lot we learned about them through that time.
The pitching was one of the main points of concern going into the offseason. They addressed a lot of it and showed that they did a good job during the spring. A lot of great arms are going to positively impact both the bullpen and rotation throughout the season. Players like Michael Kopech, Garrett Crochet, and Liam Hendriks are all guys we should be excited about after watching them go so far this season.
The final game of the spring comes today against the Colorado Rockies. Dylan Cease is going to make his final start and go against Austin Gomber of Colorado. It is a big game for Cease as he looks to cap off a nearly perfect spring. He has been brilliant after going in as one of the team’s biggest question marks. He has a chance to be one of the best number fours in all of baseball.
It will be interesting to see which players Tony La Russa uses and for how long but there are still a few things to be determined. This is a big game for the White Sox as they try to go into the regular season feeling as good about themselves as possible.
