Garrett Crochet is one of the more intriguing pieces of the Chicago White Sox pitching staff right now. He is being used in a very limited role but you can tell that he has the potential to be a superstar starting pitcher in the big leagues.

There are a lot of similarities between him and Michael Kopech who has a 300 million dollar arm. If Crochet can reach that potential, he will be a very rich man as well. The White Sox are going to make sure they develop him as best as they can.

The Chicago White Sox is taking real good care of Garrett Crochet in 2021.

The sky is the limit for Crochet. He has dealt with a small injury so far this season but he is back and looking good. In 2020, he was drafted and then pitching in the big leagues not long after that. It is a very untraditional way of doing things but the pandemic made that his reality. He came in and lit the world on fire with his 102 miles per hour stuff.

Rick Hahn spoke to the media about Garrett Crochet on Tuesday and had some very nice things to say. He is clearly confident in him and how the White Sox are handling him while they try to develop him into a star. He gives reasoning for why they are doing what they are doing and fans should respect that.

Watching his usage is a good thing. They want him healthy as they ease him into the bullpen role. It may be a while before he is in the starting rotation and that is a good thing. If he is ever pitching in that group with guys like Lucas Gilito, Michael Kopech, and Dylan Cease, it could be a flamethrowing group of superstars. Patience with the young kid is exactly what they need to have. It has worked out so far with every pitcher named and even a few others.

No one should be surprised if Crochet is inserted into more high leverage situations as the season goes on. Once the playoffs roll around, it would be nice to see him ready to take on any role they can give out. He clearly has the arm talent to do things like that and will be afforded the opportunity. He was a really high draft pick for that reason.

White Sox fans should trust Rick Hahn in every way. Pretty much everything he has done so far has worked out in their favor and not many teams in the league can say that about their GMs. Hopefully, Crochet continues to progress the way Rick Hahn believes that he will.
