Lance Lynn has been everything we thought he would be and more for the Chicago White Sox. He was in rumors to be traded there in 2020 and now you can only wonder what would have happened against the Oakland Athletics if he did. He is here now though and that is all that matters. He continues to have dominant performance after dominant performance.

The White Sox have a different player that can be looked at as an ace a week and Lynn is right there. There is even an argument that he is the best pitcher going on the White Sox now. It also feels like he has been there forever just based on his personality and how well he fits in on the south side. Everything he does on the mound ends up being the right thing.

Lance Lynn is absolutely perfect for the Chicago White Sox right now.

Lynn is now fresh off a dominant performance against the Detroit Tigers at home. Lynn gave up one earned run on four hits and two walks. He also had six strikeouts to earn his 7th win of the season and push his record to 7-1. It was as good of a game as he could have had for his team.

They hit four solo shots which were just enough offense against Casey Mize and the Tigers’ bullpen. Mize pitched very well opposite of Lynn as well. He is going to be at or near the top of their rotation for a long time. Lynn was just slightly better in this one.

Aaron Bummer, Evan Marshall, and Liam Hendriks all came in and shut the door to get Lynn the win that he deserves. The starting rotation has been the best in baseball but the bullpen is taking a minute to come around. Lately, they have been great and that could mean that the White Sox eventually has the best full staff in the sport.

After this win, Lynn’s stats on the season look even better. He has a 1.23 ERA, seven wins, a 0.92 WHIP, and a .172 opponent batting average. All of those stats lead the White Sox. He also has 63 strikeouts in 58.2 innings pitched over 10 games.

It has been remarkable from the start for him as he tries to help elevate this White Sox team to the next level. Hopefully, Lynn and company are able to keep this up because it is a lot of fun to watch. The fact that there is still potential to get even better should make all White Sox fans so happy.
