The Chicago White Sox are coming off a series at home against the Detroit Tigers where they played very well. They took the series 3-1 and have a commanding four-game lead in the American League Central. They are going to welcome in the Toronto Blue Jays for three this week. It is going to be the first time that the White Sox play them since 2019. It should be a lot of fun watching these two play.

The Chicago White Sox might have a very fun series with the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Toronto Blue Jays have an outstanding starting lineup. Players like Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Marcus Semien, and Bo Bichette amongst others are always very dangerous when at the plate. They can score a lot of runs at different times so it will be up to White Sox pitching to take care of their business. Carlos Rodon, Lance Lynn, and Dallas Keuchel are the starters that you can expect to see in this series for the White Sox.

The White Sox also has a very good starting lineup. They are missing two pillars in Eloy Jimenez and Luis Robert but they still have above average players at almost every position. It is going to get even better when those two return but for now, they will make do with what they have. They will face Robbie Ray, Alek Manoah, and Hyun Jin Ryu of the Blue Jays.

It should be a good matchup for the White Sox offense as it is two lefties and one guy who has only made one Major League start. The White Sox aren’t undefeated against lefties like they were in 2020 but that is an unrealistic expectation going forward. You can, however, still be comfortable with the White Sox chances against them.

The Blue Jays are in third place in the AL East division but that isn’t a bad thing. They will battle for playoff spots all season long with the Tampa Bay Rays, Boston Red Sox, and New York Yankees. It is a very good division right now. At 30-27, the Jays can feel pretty good about their young team.

We mentioned Vlad Jr. earlier and for the right reasons. He is one of the best young hitters in the game right now. He currently leads Major League Baseball with 18 home runs on the season. It has been a great start for him and he isn’t going to slow down any time soon. Of all the players in Toronto’s lineup, he is the one to keep the closest eye on. It is certainly going to be a fun test for the good guys.
