There is a lot to like about the future of the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Bears. The White Sox are loaded with supreme talent and has a nice lead in the American League Central Division despite some major injuries to key players. The Bears already had a nice roster but they were missing that quarterback. However, they drafted Justin Fields out of Ohio State University to potentially be that guy and now there is hope.

The Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bears getting good would be so fun.

Justin Fields is going to have to get back to good graces on the South Side after his shenanigans on Friday. Fields went to Wrigley Field in Chicago Cubs gear for their first game at 100 percent capacity and was friendly with a lot of Cubs legends. You can’t really hate on him for getting in the good graces of a large portion of the city but he needs to do the same for the White Sox.

Adam Engel took to Twitter on the matter. He tweeted at Justin Feilds telling him that he broke his heart yesterday. It is a bit of comedy mixed in with some joking emotion for Engel who would probably like to see Fields take on a White Sox game. Hopefully, both sides are able to make it happen.

The White Sox are going to have a home series this upcoming week vs the Tampa Bay Rays but it won’t be at 100 percent capacity yet. After that, they go on a long road trip before coming home to play the Seattle Mariners on June 25th. In that series, the White Sox will welcome a full crowd for the first time since 2019. That would be the perfect time to welcome Fields to Guaranteed Rate Field for a White Sox game.

It is cool to see a guy like Adam Engel step up and make a joke like that. He is really coming along with this White Sox team and they need him. They, no matter how good they are, need help getting eyeballs on the product. Those who follow will be rewarded sooner than later.

As for Justin Fields the football player, he was brilliant at his time playing for the Georgia Bulldogs and Ohio State Buckeyes. Now, he looks to take that talent to the National Football League and help lead his team to big things. He started to slip in the draft a little bit and the Bears jumped up to acquire the 11th overall pick in a trade.

That is where they selected Fields hoping he becomes the long-term answer. It would be nice to see this work because they haven’t had one of those in the history of the franchise. Having both the White Sox and Bears be good would be tremendous for the Chicago sports scene.
