The Chicago White Sox didn’t have much luck last week when they faced the Kansas City Royals on the road. They only took one out of four when they should be beating that team with ease. The Royals are not a good team but they have been playing some good baseball lately. They were sellers at the trade deadline so they are now a little bit less deep than they were last week.

Now, with three more against them this week starting today, they need to make sure they don’t overlook them. It might be easy to get distracted when you look ahead to the weekend as the White Sox will be headed to Wrigley Field to take on the Chicago Cubs. It is going to be a very fun weekend for fans of both teams as they come together.

However, the White Sox has some business to take care of this week against those Royals. If they look past it, they will get smashed. This series is going to be at home which is a positive for them because they have the best record at home in the entire league. Playing this team in front of the home crowd should help them change the results of last week.

They would be doing themselves a service if they play hard against the Royals and go into that Cubs series with some momentum. Even though the Cubs aren’t very good anymore, they will play hard because of the fact that they are playing the White Sox. That series won’t be easy so they would be wise to gain some confidence offensively vs the Royals.

The Chicago White Sox needs to have a good series against the Kansas City Royals.

Tonight, Dylan Cease is going to face Kris Bubic. Tomorrow, Lucas Giolito is going to face Carlos Hernandez. On Thursday, Dallas Keuchel will face Daniel Lynch. The Sox have a pitching advantage in all three games but they need their offense to show up in order for that to mean anything at all.

The trade deadline has come and gone. The White Sox are going to try and use their full bullpen in this series to try and start getting it set for the stretch run. Cesar Hernandez is starting to fit in well both offensively and defensively which is going to improve things greatly. Eloy Jimenez should play a big role in this series and there is a chance that Luis Robert comes back. They would both provide a big boost as the White Sox would really like to get on a roll starting now.
