The Chicago White Sox has been an entertaining team for the entire 2021 MLB season. They are one of the best teams in the American League and many things have contributed to that. Their game against the Oakland A’s on Wednesday night was one of the more entertaining games that anyone who isn’t a fan of either team will watch. It was a nail-biter for both teams as they each needed clutch moments.

The White Sox had the extra clutch moment as they won the ballgame by a final score of 3-2. It started early. Lance Lynn didn’t have his best stuff but he battled hard. He battled so hard that he only yielded one run and it was a solo shot. He got out of a jam that saw bases loaded and no outs along with a few other tough scenarios.

Lynn’s game ended early as he was ejected following the 4th inning. He wanted to quickly get to the dugout to work on something with the trainer but the umpire wanted to check him for sticky stuff. Annoyed with the delay, Lynn left his glove and hat on the railing and threw his belt onto the field. The umpire decided to make it about himself and ejected him.

Garrett Crochet came in the ballgame and along with Ryan Tepera, Aaron Bummer, and Liam Hendriks, got the job done. The White Sox bullpen is now starting to look like the unit that we thought they would be all along. Craig Kimbrel was not available for the game because of the fact that his grandfather passed away and he left the team before the game. He will be back tonight.

The Chicago White Sox needed a little bit of everything for their big win on Wednesday.

Eloy Jimenez and Luis Robert were two difference-makers in the game. This might have been a game that they lose if they weren’t there as they weren’t earlier in the season. They combined to drive in all three runs. It was a great game for them as they combined to have four hits and three RBIs. They can do it without power if they need as well and it showed on Wednesday.

Yoan Moncada deserves a shoutout for this game as well. He had a hit and a walk in the ballgame. Where he was great was on the bases as he was able to be two of the three runs scored. He was able to score when he made it in scoring position and it is a credit to his speed and smarts. Brian Goodwin is also someone who deserves some shine for reaching base three times (one hit, two walks).

There are going to be games that they win 9-0 like the one they played on Tuesday and games they need to win by one run like the one on Wednesday. Things came together for a big series win over a very good Oakland A’s team. Now, the White Sox will go for the sweep later today.
