Jake Burger has been an amazing story in the Chicago White Sox organization.

Jake Burger is a very good baseball player. The Chicago White Sox knew that when they drafted him in the first round of the 2017 MLB Draft with the 11th overall pick. He was known as an elite-hitting prospect before some bad injuries derailed his career. It really looked like he was going to never make it to the big leagues but he battled all the way back.

Now, Burger is looking like that awesome prospect that he was a few years ago. He got his chance with the White Sox after dominating AAA just like Sheets. He was just as good if not better. His former injury shows no sign of hurting him at all. He played in 15 games for the White Sox where he slashed .263/.333.474 for an OPS of .807. He hit 1 home run and had RBIs with five runs scored. It was a small sample size but a very good one at that.

Burger deserves to be called up when the White Sox expand their rosters. He can provide offense for them when they rest players down the stretch and he can hit in big spots if someone gets hurt or is cold for a game. He deserves the opportunity in every way.

The White Sox have an outstanding offense. Gaining a bit of depth with guys like Sheets and Burger would go a long way. The lineup is so good and adding guys like this to the mix could go a long way.
