The Chicago White Sox went into Saturday night’s game hoping that they can get some help from the Oakland A’s. Regardless of the outcome of Oakland A’s vs Houston Astros, however, they wanted to win their own game. It is important for the White Sox to win these games and feel good about themselves going into the postseason.

Lucas Giolito made his final start of the season. He only gave up one run on two hits in five innings. He was brilliant but Dallas Keuchel didn’t do too well as a reliever. The White Sox fell into a 4-0 drought which felt insurmountable at one point. However, some big-time heroics led to a big 5-4 Chicago White Sox victory.

They made it 4-3 which raised some eyebrows going into the final two innings of the game. With a runner on base in the 8th inning, Yoan Moncada hit a big home run to make it 5-4. From that moment on, Liam Hendriks stook up and started warming up in the bullpen. He came in to get a save and the White Sox go into the night with a win.

It was as fun of a game that you will ever watch all year long and it came on the second to last night of the regular season. Moncada made it a very memorable one for the hometown crowd at Guaranteed Rate Field.

The Chicago White Sox are looking good after Yoan Moncada’s game-winner.

Moncada showing power is just what we need to see going into the playoffs. He is so important to what this team is doing so his best will help them go far. With some of the other studly hitters in the batting order surrounding him, it is a great recipe for success.

The White Sox have a chance to sweep the Detroit Tigers out of Chicago tomorrow in an afternoon game. It will be the final game of the regular season for every team in baseball. It is also the final tune-up before the White Sox travel to play the Astros in the first round of the postseason. If they win that game, it will mean they go into the playoffs on a seven-game winning streak.

All year long, we wanted to see the White Sox get hot and do things like this. Winning a game in this fashion might really help them have the perfect amount of momentum going into the playoffs. Yoan Moncada was the hero in this one, who is next?
