Chicago White Sox: Carlos Correa rumors are very scary
The Chicago White Sox already have their shortstop. Tim Anderson is an elite player on the field and he is an incredible leader off the field. Of all the great players on this roster right now, Tim Anderson has the title of “face of the franchise” and he deserves it. Having that sound player playing that position is very important to success.
By now, you probably know that the Detroit Tigers are coming. They have made outstanding additions to their roster already and will be much improved going into 2022. However, the latest MLB rumors are coming in hot with each passing day and one of the biggest ones includes our friends in Detroit who are looking for a shortstop of their own.
There has been a connection between free-agent shortstop Carlos Correa and the Tigers for a long time now for a few different reasons. The biggest reason is the fact that their manager, AJ Hinch, was Correa’s manager in Houston before he was fired for the sign-stealing scandal. Now, the two were spotted having lunch.
This could be newsworthy soon or it could lead to nothing. There are going to be plenty of suiters for Correa’s services but it feels clear that the Tigers are interested. They are a young team loaded with great talent and are now looking to spend so that they can supplement their roster.
The Detroit Tigers are going to be a fun matchup for the Chicago White Sox.
The White Sox need to worry about the Tigers. The Tigers are coming for them in the division and it won’t be long before they are really good. The White Sox aren’t going to fall off any time soon but it is going to be annoying dealing with the Tigers. The Sox need to make moves to supplement their roster some more as well to avoid this Tigers team catching them.
Everyone should be affraid of Correa. A lot of people don’t like him anymore for the way that he has handled the sign-stealing scandal himself but he is an elite baseball player. The Tigers would have high hopes in 2022 if they landed him to be their long-term shortstop.
Detroit has everything that Correa would want. Money, playing time as the shortstop position is open for them, and a chance to win (if he goes there). This has the makings of a great battle at the top of the AL Central for years to come, regardless if Correa goes there or not.
