The Chicago White Sox are about to embark on another 162 game journey through the American League. There are some really good teams on the schedule from both leagues that will present them with a challenge every single night.

In 2021, they made the playoffs in consecutive years for the first time in franchise history. Now, they are hoping to make it in three seasons with a postseason berth for the first time ever. Winning the division would thus be the second time in a row, a franchise record.

You can already make an accurate claim that this is the greatest core in the history of the Chicago White Sox. It is hard to argue fr another core (including the 2005 team) if none of them ever had sustained success before.

They haven’t won a World Series yet but that is extremely hard to do. Even if they never win one, it will still be the greatest core in team history as long as they sustain success. Yes, it would be nice for them to take that step but everyone should recognize how great they are.

The Chicago White Sox have their all-time greatest core signed up for now.

Who is a part of the core? Well, there are a lot of players that should be considered a part of this core. The big six hitters in Tim Anderson, Luis Robert, Jose Abreu, Eloy Jimenez, Yoan Moncada, and Yasmani Grandal are all a part of the core for now.

Pitchers like Lucas Giolito, Dylan Cease, Michael Kopech, Lance Lynn, and Liam Hendriks should also be a part of that group in everyone’s mind. There are also younger players like Garrett Crochet, Andrew Vaughn, and Gavin Sheets that want to be there for a long time.

This is the best time to be a White Sox fan. Injuries have been an issue for this team but they will get through it. When they are healthy, they are one of the best teams in Major League Baseball. It is going to be a lot of fun to see what they can do when everyone important is beyond being a “young/inexperienced” player.

Now that we are at Opening Day, it is time for this team to show what it is made of. There are a lot of elite players in that clubhouse so it is time to see them completely go off. This is going to be a fantastic season for anyone who follows this team closely. The greatest White Sox core of all time is ready.
