3. Cincinnati Reds

The Cincinnati Reds are one of the best possible destinations for Dallas Keuchel.

The 2022 Cincinnati Reds are one of the worst teams in Major League Baseball. It is honestly a disgusting disgrace to the league because they have made it so obvious that they aren’t trying. They sold off so many pieces during the offseason and let others walk.

Winning is so irrelevant to them right now and it is a shame. They are one of the league’s oldest franchises and one of the most historic. It is so unfortunate to see that they just don’t care. However, they can do some good for Dallas Keuchel.

At 16-31, it might be hard for them to crack 50 wins. However, that isn’t important to them so they might as well let Dallas Keuchel play for them. He and his 7.88 and negative WAR would be perfect for that team. He believes he has earned enough leeway in the game to continue getting chances so maybe the Reds can provide him with that.

Kind of like Detroit, they are somewhat close to Chicago relative to the rest of the league so that is a plus for him right now. He also wouldn’t have any pressure on him anymore as he could just freely pitch on a team that bad. If he is horrid again, no one will care.

We don’t know for sure if Dallas will pitch again this year. It is very possible because he loves it but his next destination is unclear. As shown here, however, it is unlikely that he will pitch for a contender again in 2022. Nobody who has heavy playoff aspirations should want him right now.
