The Chicago White Sox could make a trade with a different NL Central team.

The Chicago White Sox could make a trade with multiple different bad NL Central teams. The Cincinnati Reds are also bad from that division and would be a great trade partner for the White Sox at this stage. They have a few different players that can help this team.

From a pitching perspective, Luis Castillo is someone that will be a hot commodity around the trade deadline. There are sure to be a lot of different teams looking at him to see what it might take to bring him to their team.

The White Sox would be wise to be one of those teams looking at him. He is a starting pitcher that would look great in this rotation. He doesn’t have an ERA under two as Bednar does but he is doing pretty good for being on that all-time bad Reds squad.

Castillo has a 3.33 ERA and a 1.2 WAR. You know a pitcher is decent if he is on a team that bad and still has a WAR over one. Bringing him to the White Sox might help him get even better as he would certainly be playing on a better team. He will likely be traded and the White Sox should be in on it.
