The Chicago White Sox needs a spark. There are plenty of options out there but one that seems to drive conversation right now is Jazz Chisholm Jr. People are wondering if the lowly Miami Marlins will consider moving him after having a meeting that centered around his criticism.

It doesn’t sound like the organization loves the electricity that he brings to the field. That is simply a shame because he is amazing for the game of baseball. The White Sox and their fans would love this guy if he played for their team.

For one, he fits a position of need. The White Sox have been searching for a second baseman since the beginning of the offseason. Jazz Chisholm Jr. might be the best option available if the Marlins are in fact willing to trade him.

He is also a very good hitter. As of right now, he is slashing .241/.313/.518 for an OPS of .831. He also has 13 home runs, 42 RBI, and 11 stolen bases. This is outstanding production that is being wasted on that Miami team that is 14.0 games out of first place in the NL East.

There is also a third reason. The White Sox currently uses both Leury Garcia and Josh Harrison at second base a lot. They also figure to use Danny Mendick a fair amount going forward as well because he proved himself while Tim Anderson was out with injury.

With that in mind as a nice backup plan, Chisholm would clearly be the best option in the middle infield with Tim Andrson. They are both good with the glove and could make electrifying plays to turn two when the opportunity is there. It would certainly be fun to watch.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. would be a great fit for the Chicago White Sox right now.

Outside of that meeting questioning him, we don’t know if theMarlins would ever consider trading him away. The White Sox would be the best option for him because of positional needs, talent, and overall entertainment opportunities.

Things might have not been the best for the 32-33 White Sox right now but they have a much better chance of being something this year than the Miami Marlins. Chisholm would be such a great fit and the White Sox need to be involved if he is available.
