The Chicago White Sox played a very interesting game against the Houston Astros on Tuesday night. It was the big Dylan Cease vs Justin Verlander game and both of them pitched pretty well. However, neither of them was able to keep the game from having an incredible finish.

For the second night in a row, the White Sox tied the game in the later stages of it. Gavin Sheets hit a double (with an error put him on third) which scored Josh Harrison and Seby Zavala. It was an incredible scene for the White Sox as they were tied with the Astros again after all of that.

One inning later, Adam Engel pinch ran for Eloy Jimenez on first base with no outs. After Jose Abreu reached base, Yasmani Grandal grounded into a double play which pushed Engel to third with two outs. For the second night in a row, Yoan Moncada came up with the game on his stick.

Despite having a pretty bad season up to this point, he is as clutch as any player on this team and he came through once again. He knocked in Engel to give the White Sox the 4-3 lead and he was completely fired up over it.

The Chicago White Sox were able to hang on for the win thanks to Yoan Moncada.

With the 4-3 lead, Liam Hendriks came in and shut the door to preserve the lead that Moncada provided for them. On a night that started with the pitching matchup as the big story, Moncada came through and helped his team complete the comeback.

Something has been different with Moncada over the last few days. His defense has always been elite but his bat has struggled for most of the year. However, he is starting to look good again and this is the best time for that.

This lineup is capable of some scary stuff if they can get the most out of all their players. Moncada is one of those players that has a lot to give and we are seeing it right now. We can only hope that he is able to keep it up for the rest of the season.

He has been the face of the rebuild as he was the number one prospect in the world when he was acquired for Chris Sale back in 2016. He has been up and down ever since but the ups can outweigh the downs if this season finishes strong for him. This was a great sign of things to come.
