White Sox: 3 new managers to hire when the World Series is over
3. Matt Quantraro
Matt Quantraro is someone that the Chicago White Sox can hire as a manager.
The Chicago White Sox have claimed since the end of the season that their new manager is going to be someone that comes from a winning organization and doesn’t need to have ties with the team in some way. Whether they actually live up to that remains to be seen.
Someone that does fit that model is Matt Quantraro of the Tampa Bay Rays. He used to be their third base coach and now he is their bench coach. You’d think that the Rays’ bench coach is someone that would make a good manager after thinking about their recent history.
For a long time now, the Rays have been one of the most well-run and most successful teams in the league. They have had a spot in the Major League Baseball postseason for a few years in a row now. Good scouting, smart spending, and amazing player development have really helped.
If Matt Quantraro brought some of that to the White Sox, they might be able to push themselves forward as an organization instead of sticking to the old ideals that haven’t been working for a while.
No matter what, we just want to see the White Sox make a good hire here. If it is someone on this list or the one from last week, we will root for them. If it isn’t, we will still have to hope that the team knows what they are getting in the new hire.
