The Chicago White Sox moved up one spot to 18th overall in the FanSided MLB Power Rankings as prepared by Hayden Kane.

This past week, the White Sox (June 2-8) went 2-4 combined, on the road, against the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

Against the Dodgers (Monday-Wednesday) the White Sox lost the first game of the series by a 5-2 score, but followed with wins by scores of 4-1 and 2-1.

Verses the Angels over the weekend, the White Sox lost by scores of 8-4, 6-5 and 4-2.

From what I’ve watched the past six games I’m not sure the White Sox are the 18th bets team in the Majors (I’m harsh with them at times), but I will take it.

This team just can’t hit on all cylinders at once for a consistent period of time. If they could do what they’ve shown signs of at times this season, they could become a very dangerous team.

This week the White Sox will face the Detroit Tigers for four straight games (Monday-Thursday) then face the Royals for three games over the upcoming weekend (Friday-Sunday).

Tonight begins a nine-game homestand.
