I'm a lifelong fan of football and baseball. I once I had a conversation with a Hall of Fame baseball announcer about reality TV. I'm the sports editor of The Highland County Press in Ohio, along with being editor the of the Toro Times (the Houston Texans Fansided site) and the editor of Southside Showdown (the Chicago White Sox Fansided site).
Josh grew up in a small town nestled in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. He learned at the tender age of eight that good guys wear black. Like many Sox fans, his favorite player of all was The Big Hurt, Frank Thomas.
I'm a former debater and cook who watches AL Central baseball.
Kyle Franzoni has the unfortunate distinction of having his very first baseball memory be that of Mookie Wilson's slow grounder going through the legs of Bill Buckner. Since then, it has been an up and down love affair with the game, which naturally lead to putting his thoughts to digital paper and trying his hand at writing about the game he loves. A native of Vermont, where he lives with his wife and twin sons, Kyle is editor of Jays Journal and is the Editorial Director for FanSided MLB.
Joe grew up on the Southside of Chicago where his passion for Chicago sports began. Joe has several years of sports writing experience at the blog, on-line and print level. A lifelong baseball fan, he has grown up watching the White Sox and loving playoff baseball.
We aren't called FanSided for nothing. Our network of sports, entertainment and lifestyle sites are powered by fans that want to cover their passions! Whether you are just looking to get your start in online media or you want to contribute to your favorite site as a hobby, FanSided wants to hear from you.
Our work is regularly featured on SI.com and Bleacher Report and many FanSided writers have gone on to work full-time in online media. FanSided hired over ten of its own writers in 2013 and there are currently FanSided alums working at other major media outlets and with professional sports teams.
FanSided was born in 2007, when two brothers felt that their favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs, was being under-covered by the mainstream media. Taking matters into their own hands, they launched Arrowhead Addict, a move that would spawn a network of over 290 fan-powered unique sports and entertainment sites dedicated to team-specific, sport-specific, genre-specific, and fanbase-specific coverage.
From sports, movies and TV to lifestyle and tech, FanSided has you covered.
