In a more lighthearted moment on Thursday before the series finale of the Chicago White Sox vs. Oakland Athletics game was the two ceremonial first pitches by Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah.

Noah botched his first chance at a first pitch, but in true champion fashion, he nailed his second chance at the first pitch, throwing the ball right down the middle of the plate … mostly.

It was fun to see Noah just have so much fun with the ceremonial first pitch, and let’s all be honest … we’ve seen worse pitching at US Cellular Field this season, right?

More from White Sox News

The White Sox eventually won the games and the series against Oakland, 1-0 behind the pitching of Chris Sale.

In an MLB.com article it said of Noah’s day:

"“Noah also made an appearance in the broadcast booth to speak with Steve Stone about the Noah’s Arc Foundation and the “Chicago Stand Up” campaign to rid the city streets of violence.”"

Noah with the Bulls this past season averaged a double-double with 12.6 points per game and 11.3 rebounds per age. He also had 1.5 blocks per game.

Noah was drafted by the Bull ninth overall in 2007. He is also an All-Defenisve player in the NBA.
