White Sox top prospect has had a great spring training over the past week. He continued that with four RBIs in an 11-2 White Sox win over the Los Angeles Angels.

Yoan Moncada came to the Chicago White Sox will a lot of fanfare. As the centerpiece of the Chris Sale trade, the switch-hitting infielder has lived up to the hype so far this spring. He drove in four runs against the Angels on Sunday, including hitting his third home run of the spring and has all the looks of a budding superstar.

It will be interesting to see where he ends up at the end of Spring Training. Will they have a spot for him on the roster or will he start in the minors? Playing in the minors allows him to play everyday. Nevertheless, I would expect him to be in the majors soon. Similar to what the organization did with Tim Anderson last season.

It seems like the White Sox will have a star on their hands. Moncada is the second best prospect in all of baseball according to mlbpipeline.com and he’s certainly playing like it this spring. He’s hitting pretty well with a .317 batting average and playing good defense.

The future looks bright as he works his way into the everyday lineup. His presence is giving White Sox fans something to be excited about in the future.

We’re not sure exactly what the plans are for him. But he should be in the majors rather quickly. What’s it important is he develops to his full potential.

If he does that, then he will be a superstar. This will rejuvenate the fan base and get some excitement back at Guaranteed Rate Field. This team really struggled with attendance last season. Now, with some young guns ready to contribute, that should definitely change.

This team may not be ready to contend next season, but they have a bright future ahead. That’s what trading some of your veterans does. Sox general manager Rick Hahn has done an amazing job reshaping this team by getting rid of just two players in the offseason. Now he’s put this team in a position to succeed in the future. It’s only a matter of time before this team is contending and playing baseball in October.
