For the second night in a row the White Sox scored double digits on the Kansas City Royals. Todd Frazier led the charge with three RBIs in a 10-5 victory.

Maybe the Kansas City Royals pitching is what the Chicago White Sox needed to jump start their offense. After pounding the Royals 12-1 on Monday, they scored in double digits again on Tuesday night. Todd Frazier had three RBI’s while both Leury Garcia and Omar Narvaez added two, en route to a 10-5 win. It was the first time since 2012 the team has scored 10 or more runs in consecutive games.

Dylan Covey only lasted four innings and allowed two runs on three hits. He struggled with control, throwing 50 strikes on 86 pitches. The right hander was making his third career start and had four strikeouts and three walks. He gave way to Dan Jennings, who retired five straight to earn the win. The bullpen wouldn’t allow a run until the ninth, when Chris Beck surrendered three.

Avisail Garcia continued his hot start going 3-for-5 with an RBI and two runs. He’s now hitting .380 with a .429 OBP. That’s easily the best on the team. Matt Davidson saw himself getting another start, this time he played the field, but went 0-for-4 with a walk. He seems to struggle against right handed pitching but it will be important for him to get a chance. He’s still hitting .333, which is second best on the team, and leads the team in home runs (4) and is second in RBIs (14).

The White Sox really did a good job of manufacturing runs during this game especially against Royals starter Danny Duffy. They were able to pound out a total of 14 hits and left eight runners on base. That does seem like a big number but considering they scored 10, that’s not too bad.

What’s more impressive, they didn’t hit a single home run. In the past this team has relied on the long ball. However, they showed they can get timely hitting and don’t necessarily need home runs to score.
