Mike Pelfrey allowed just one run and the trio of Matt Davidson, Todd Frazier and Jose Abreu led the offense. The White Sox defeated the Blue Jays 5-2.
Mike Pelfrey was phenomenal and the Chicago White Sox took the second game of a three-game series with the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday 5-2. The right hander allowed only one run on four hits over six innings of work. David Robertson closed the door on a 5-2 win to earn his 11th save of the season. The White Sox have now won two consecutive series.
Matt Davidson blasted his team leading 15th home run of the season. The 26-year-old has really come into a zone this season and is playing real good baseball. He has now homered in five of his last six games. Todd Frazier (11) and Jose Abreu (11) also homered in this game.

What Davidson has done for this team has been great. No one expected to see him already have 15 home runs and we’re only in June.
Davidson is currently on pace to hit 36 home runs and drive in 87 RBIs. We’ve wondered for months if this was just a fluke or if this was the real deal. It’s a small sample size, but it looks like this isn’t a fluke.
This team hasn’t really been bad to watch. They seem to play really well and they don’t give up. They are just young and inexperienced. It will definitely take awhile for this team to come into their zone.
Hopefully that is just a few years away. But until then, this team is still fun to watch. And that will keep fans coming to the ballpark.

The White Sox will go for the sweep when they welcome back James Shields from injury on Sunday afternoon. Remember, he hasn’t pitched in awhile because of a shoulder injury. Hopefully that is all cleared up and the veteran can get back to where he left off. He is 1-0 with a 1.62 ERA this season.
