The Chicago White Sox continue to get solid outings from their pitching prospects as Michael Kopech and Dane Dunning both had good starts on Monday. Kopech and Dunning pitched seven strong innings for their respective teams.

More from White Sox Prospects

With Reynaldo Lopez and now Lucas Giolito performing well, Kopech could be promoted to Triple-A Charlotte when one of the aforementioned players get called up to the Sox. Kopech has recorded eight or more strikeouts in four of his last 10 starts. The Sox could certainly use Kopech at the top of their rotation in the future, but for now he must continue developing into a starting pitcher.

Dunning, the Sox 11th ranked prospect also had a good start on Monday. The 2016 first round pick of the Washington Nationals recorded 11 strikeouts for Single-A Advanced Winston-Salem. Dunning gave up just one earned run and one walk in a 2-1 Dash win over the Salem Red Sox. Since being promoted to Winston-Salem on April 28, Dunning is 4-5 with a 3.35 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 96 strikeouts through 16 starts.
