White Sox second ranked prospect has monster game for Single-A Winston-Salem, helps lead team to victory on Friday.

The Chicago White Sox have to be more than pleased with the return they received from the Cubs in trading Jose Quintana on July 13. Eloy Jimenez, who was one of the players sent to the Sox in exchange for the veteran pitcher has been stellar since joining Single-A Advanced Winston-Salem.

On Friday, the 20-year-old outfielder helped lead the Dash to a 8-2 victory over the Potomac Nationals. Jimenez went 2-for-3 with a walk, a three-run home run and 4 RBIs. The Sox second ranked prospect has hit five home runs with 18 RBIs in 20 games with Winston-Salem since being traded by the Cubs.

With the Sox having the top ranked farm system according to mlbpipeline.com, Jimenez shows just how much depth this team has in the minor leagues. Jimenez is hitting .296 on the season, and he’s riding a modest four game hitting streak with the Dash. The young outfielder could start next season with Double-A Birmingham, but for now his development must continue with Winston-Salem.

Luis Robert, another Sox top outfield prospect has been playing well since coming back from injury. The 20-year-old outfielder is 6-for-13 since returning from a left knee injury on Aug. 1 for the DSL White Sox. On Friday, Robert went 1-for-2 with a double, a walk and a stolen base in a 4-1 victory for the DSL White Sox over the DSL Blue Jays.

Carson Fulmer, the Sox 12th ranked prospect recorded a quality start for Triple-A Charlotte on Friday in a 7-5 win over the Gwinett Braves. Fulmer pitched six innings while allowing just two earned runs on four hits. The 2015 first round pick recorded seven strikeouts, but allowed five walks. Fulmer hasn’t been consistent on the mound as a starter this season, but this outing could help him turn the corner to end his 2017 campaign.
