The fourth overall ranked prospect was able to also knock in the go-ahead run for the Knights in the eighth inning. With Charlotte tied with Toledo at 4-4 in the eighth inning, Jimenez hit a go-ahead RBI single to score Jose Rondon and put the Knights ahead 5-4.

More from White Sox Prospects

Miguel Gonzalez started on Sunday for the Knights in his first rehab start. Gonzalez has been on the disabled list with right rotator cuff inflammation since April 23. He’s expected to make three or four rehab starts. In his outing on Sunday, Gonzalez pitched three scoreless innings with one strikeout and one walk allowed against Toledo.

While the Knights were able to win their game on Sunday, Double-A Birmingham and Single-A Advanced Winston-Salem both lost their respective games. The Barons were shutout on the road 5-0 against the Montgomery Biscuits. Despite the loss, Bernardo Flores pitched well in his Double-A debut as he pitched seven innings while allowing just two earned runs on six hits.
