White Sox MiLB Report: Winston-Salem’s Offense Remains Hot

White Sox Single-A Advanced affiliate offense remains hot as they score double-digit runs again in victory on Friday night.

Chicago White Sox Single-A Advanced affiliate Winston-Salem Dash had another impressive night offensively on Friday. The Dash defeated the Frederick Keys 12-10 to continue their solid week. Winston-Salem had 23 hits in their win.

With the victory, the Dash concluded a five-game series against the Keys where they won three games. In each victory, Winston-Salem scored double-digit runs including a 19-2 win over the Keys this past Monday.

On Friday, Blake Rutherford went 3-for-6 with an RBI single. Gavin Sheets, Zach Remillard, and Nate Nolan also had three hits for the Dash. Ti’Quan Forbes and Yermin Mercedes each had four hits for Winston-Salem against the Keys.

The Charlotte Knights were able to win their second consecutive game over the Gwinnett Stripers in their current series on Friday. In the Knights 5-4 win over the Stripers, Eloy Jimenez went 2-for-3 with an RBI single and a walk. Jose Rondon also recorded two hits for Charlotte in their win over Gwinnett.

Double-A Birmingham also won its contest on Friday night. The Barons defeated the Jackson Generals 8-1. Keon Barnum was the only Barons player with a multi-hit game as he went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run. Joel Booker, Luis Alexander Basabe and Zack Collins each recorded hits for Birmingham in their victory over Jackson.
