The Sox haven’t had many bright spots this season but Rodon has shown his ace potential over the last month. With the team’s starting rotation being poor, Rodon’s emergence as the Sox ace is an encouraging sign for their rebuilding efforts.

Rodon will need to pitch a completely healthy season in 2019 to help the Sox pitching rotation which will still be young. The 25-year-old has shown glimpses of his potential in the past and this year, but he hasn’t been able to remain healthy for an entire season since his rookie year in 2015.

While Sox fans continue to wait for the team to become contenders again, they can find solace in the fact that Rodon is starting to live up to his ace potential this season.
