With the loss, the Sox are just one more defeat away from 100 losses this season. The 2018 season has been the toughest year of the team’s current rebuild. After winning 67 games last season, the Sox are close to the losing 100 games for the first time since 1970 when they finished 56-106.
For Sox fans, this season can’t end soon enough. This season has seen many ups and downs but there have been some good moments for the Sox. The Sox will start Dylan Covey on Sunday in their season finale.
The Sox should have an interesting offseason coming up. With the team having a lot of money to spend, they could very well add solid veterans through free agency. The 2018 season might have been tough for Sox fans to watch, but things should get better for this franchise very soon. Just one game left for this season and then its no baseball until late February.
