White Sox: ‘The Goose Island’ Is Newest Ballpark Feature

White Sox home ballpark will have a new section for fans in right field thanks to Goose Island. The section in right field will be entitled ‘The Goose Island’.

White Sox fans will see something new in right field at Guaranteed Rate Field this season. The White Sox and Goose Island Beer Company have partnered together to present “The Goose Island” in right field at the team’s home ballpark.

“The Goose Island” will feature running water fixtures on each side to resemble an island as it occupies right field sections 106 and 107 at Guaranteed Rate Field. Both sections will be remodeled for “The Goose Island” and feature a total of 326 seats. In this new section, the first few rows will give a modernized experience for fans.

The first few rows will feature leather cushion seats with armrests, cup holders, device charging ports and television screens along with storage space. Fans that sit in the first few rows will also receive in-seat service to go along with $20 of loaded value that can be used to purchase food, beverages or other White Sox merchandise inside the ballpark.

Todd Ahsmann, President of Goose Island Beer Co. mentioned he has been a huge White Sox fan his entire life and can’t wait to celebrate this new space in a statement released on Monday.

“It feels like a dream come true to bring Goose Island to the pride of the South Side I’ve been a huge fan my entire life and can’t wait to celebrate in this new space. With great beer and promising team on the field, what’s not to look forward to?” Todd Ahsmann

Goose Island will receive naming rights to the nearby bar in this section of Guaranteed Rate Field along with in-market retail promotions that include digital activation with White Sox social media during the 2019 season. “The Goose Island” will also feature a walk-up bar that will be accessible from the 100-level outfield concourse at the ballpark.
