The Chicago White Sox are a team that finally has some depth. Well, they have a chance to add to that depth in 2021 if they were to add a guy like DJ LeMahieu. This is the guy who has made the battling title thing tough on Tim Anderson over the past two seasons. Anderson beat him out for it in 2019 but LeMahieu was able to capture it in 2020. There is no doubt that he is one of the best hitters in the league.

LeMahier was drafted by the Chicago Cubs and only played with them for a part of a season. He then moved on to play for the Colorado Rockies for seven years before two with the Yankees. At 32 years old, there is a whole lot he can provide this young White Sox team. He has the experience that would bode well for the youngsters he’d be leading.

LeMahieu is the type of infielder that can play any position but he really excels at second base. He is a three-time gold glover at the position which is nice to have in your back pocket if you are the White Sox.  Nick Madrigal had some surgery already this offseason and we don’t know exactly when he will show up to Spring Training. It would be nice to have LeMahieu there to help him.

LeMehieu could even be a much needed designated hitter if the White Sox can’t find anyone else. No matter how you look at it, he would be a great addition to the team.  If the interest was there from his side, the White Sox would be smart to bring him in.
