34. player. 128. . SP. Chicago White Sox. Michael Kopech

Michael Kopech is a big part of the future for the Chicago White Sox pitching staff.

The Chicago White Sox has a lot of faith in a lot of people in terms of production. They need to get the most out of a lot of players in order to win the World Series someday which can be said by every team in the big leagues. One of the most important on the south side is Michael Kopech.

Kopech dealt with some injuries and off-the-field stuff which led to him missing the end of 2018, all of 2019, and all of 2020. It was a long time without baseball for him but he came back in 2021 better than ever.

He came out of the bullpen as a superweapon in 2021. The innings were limited but he was awesome in almost all of them. He went through one little spell where he was tipping his pitches but that got resolved and he went back to being dominant. The sky is the limit for this guy.

They are going to move him back into a starter role in 2022. That opens up more of an opportunity for them to get the most out of him. He works off his incredible fastball and his nasty breaking stuff which is impossible to hit when he is on his game. Expect lots of strikeouts.

We already talked about how the White Sox could have three aces if Giolito, Lynn, and Cease all reach their potential. That is all true and Kopech has the talent to be even better than all of them. That would give the White Sox the best rotation in the American League.

It could happen as soon as this year for number 34. He is for sure going to have an innings limit but we will see how long that lasts. There is Dallas Keuchel, Reynaldo Lopez, and Garrett Crochet ass well as a few Minor League guys for spot starts if needed here
