96. . SP. Oakland Athletics. Frankie Montas. 47. player

The Chicago White Sox could circle back on Frankie Montas if they wanted.

The Chicago White Sox have already been in on Frankie Montas. They were into Sean Manaea before him but he was moved to the San Diego Padres. The Oakland Athletics have been selling off all of their players in order to start a rebuild.

A lot of teams have taken advantage of that and the White Sox should be in on it as well. The problem is that they backed out of Montas because they wanted Andrew Vaughn and the White Sox weren’t willing. That is smart because Andrew Vaugh is a truly incredible hitter.

The White Sox could circle back on this idea though if they seriously want him. The A’s have to know by now that they aren’t getting Vaughn but maybe they would take someone like Jake Burger instead. That would be something for the White Sox to consider.

There are no rumors surrounding any of these guys right now but they are all very good starters on very bad teams. All three of these squads have no chance of making it to the postseason and will be trying to sell off all their assets before the deadline. The White Sox really need to take advantage of these situations.
