The Chicago White Sox should really consider bringing in Frankie Montas.

The Chicago White Sox are playing the Oakland A’s on the weekend before the MLB trade deadline. That is an opportunity for the two sides to discuss a trade while their two teams are going at it on the field. Frankie Montas is the guy that would make the most sense for the White Sox.

The A’s are very bad. They have sold a lot of their roster since the start of the 2021 season. They were a very good team for a few years there but could never get over the hump and now they are rebuilding again. The White Sox have a few players that would help them.

Montas used to be a member of the White Sox organization. He was a part of a three-team (Detroit Tigers and Boston Red Sox) trade that landed the White Sox both him and Avisail Garcia while sending Jake Peavy to Boston.

Later on, he was sent to the Los Angeles Dodgers by the White Sox in the three-team trade that landed them Todd Frazier. He then made his way to the A’s in a trade as well. Now, he is looking to get traded yet again as he hopes to land with a good team.

The White Sox might have to pay a decent price to get him but it would be worth it to land a starter like that. In fact, all three of these starters would help the team move into the stretch run of the season.
