The Chicago White Sox have been playing some okay baseball since the All-Star break. It is clear that there is another level that they can get to but they are starting to come along just a little bit. They are currently in a stretch of games where they need to take advantage of weaker teams.

They lost the series opener this week to the Kansas City Royals but have come back to win the series 2-1 and there are a lot of reasons for that. One of them has been the bat of Eloy Jimenez. He is one of the best hitters on the team when things are going well for him and he is showing why.

Jimenez, for the second year in a row, missed a large portion of the season due to an injury. He is finally back though and has been on fire. He is on a nine-game hitting streak where he has gone 16-32 which is incredible for this team.

If Eloy can stay hot, this White Sox team will naturally score so many more runs. With the guys in the lineup around him, he has a chance to be a legit RBI threat. When he is not in the lineup, it does feel like there is a big gap.

The Chicago White Sox needs Eloy Jimenez to stay hot to win lots of games.

In Tuesday’s win over the Royals that tied the series, he had three hits. He followed that up with another three-hit game on Wednesday which now has his batting average up to .291. To say he had a big hand in winning the series would be an understatement.

Eloy is more than just a big bat for the White Sox too. He brings incredible energy and a smile on his face every time he plays which is infectious. He comes to play hard every single day and just has an absolute blast with it.

There are people around that want the White Sox to get rid of him and that is nonsense. He is a very polished hitter that just needs to figure out how to keep himself healthy. The fact that he has missed a lot of time is his only problem. If he keeps hitting like this, the rest of the league will remember why he already has a Silver Slugger Award.
