White Sox Weekly Farm Update: July 24-July 30
Weekly report on White Sox minor league affiliates including links for daily results
The White Sox recently promoted its top prospect Carson Fulmer on July 15. With the promotion, the Double-A Birmingham Barons pitching rotation was left without one of its starters. Spencer Adams, the White Sox second-round pick in the 2014 draft was promoted to the Barons on July 21 and made his first start with the team on July 23.
Adams, who was starting his second game since suffering an ankle injury on July 7, lasted six innings on July 23. Adams gave up three earned runs against the Montgomery Biscuits through six innings pitched. Although the Barons would lose to the Biscuits, Adams was solid in his first start with the team.
Zack Burdi, the White Sox second first-round pick in the 2016 draft has pitched better for the Barons. In his last outing, Burdi throw two scorless innings and lowered his ERA to 7.27 in 8.2 innings pitched.

Adam Engel, who was promoted to Triple-A Charlotte Knights on July 18 has struggled in his first week with the team. Engel, the 2015 Arizona Fall League MVP his hitting .192 through six games with the Knights. The 2013 19th-round draft pick was hitting .255 with the Barons through 74 games before his promotion to the Knights.
Alex Call, the White Sox third-round pick in the 2016 draft was promoted to Single-A Full Season Kannapolis Intimidators on July 17. Through six games played with the Intimidators, Call is hitting .357 with three runs batted in and four stolen bases. Another 2016 draft pick had another solid start over the weekend.
Alec Hansen, the White Sox second round pick in the 2016 draft pitched 4.1 innings for the Great Falls Voyagers of the Pioneer League on July 23. Hansen recorded six strikeouts and gave up three earned runs against the Orem Owlz.
