White Sox Single-A affiliate continues to rake on offense with another double-digit scoring effort on Tuesday.

Chicago White Sox Single-A affiliate Kannapolis Intimidators offense has been on fire lately as they’ve scored nine or more runs in their last three games. On Tuesday, the Intimidators exploded for 11 runs in a 11-6 victory over the Delmarva Shorebirds.

With Kannapolis having many of the Sox top prospects on offense, this team has been showing no mercy on opposing pitchers lately. On Tuesday, Alex Call, Blake Rutherford, Jake Burger, Micker Adolfo, Gavin Sheets and Mitch Roman all had multiple hits in the Intimidators contest against Delmarva. Kannapolis totaled 18 hits in its game against the Shorebirds.

More from White Sox Prospects

Burger, the Sox first round pick from this year’s draft went 2-for-6 with 3 RBIs on Tuesday. Rutherford, who was acquired from the New Yankees in a trade went 3-for-4 with a double and two walks. Sheets, the Sox second round draft pick went 2-for-4 with a RBI. In the Intimidators last three games, they’ve scored 10, nine and 11 runs respectively. With the Sox in dire need of more production at the plate from their prospects, some young players are stepping up in the minors.

The Sox received some more good news on Tuesday with the return of their fourth ranked prospect Luis Robert. Robert had been out since July 4 with a meniscus injury in his left knee. In his first game back, Robert hit his second home run of the season for the DSL White Sox and went 2-for-3 with a stolen base.

With the Sox having solid contributions on offense from their top prospects, Reynaldo Lopez of Triple-A Charlotte had a nice outing on the mound on Tuesday. Although he only lasted five innings, Lopez recorded five strikeouts and gave up just two earned runs. Lopez hasn’t given up more than two earned runs in a start since June 24 when he allowed six earned runs.
